Co-worker asks how the truck's doin', and I'm proud to say, "You know, it's runnin' alright, it's solid. Brand new suspension; yeah it's good right now." At least I have enough sense to add, "Well, knock on...door panel you know." (There is no wood available to knock on, so I figure a tweed door panel will have to do.)
Well, I'm sure you can see where this story is going. I DID make it home, but not without something major going wrong in the exhaust category. When I got home, I turned off my flashers and turned off the truck, and went to bed, somehow not surprised that my streak of "solid truck" good luck had run out. In a matter of a few hours, I went from having a "solid truck" to having something that was not even comfortably drivable. Go figure! There's a custom mini truck (and a Chevy at that!) for you.
I'm sure some of you have felt this same way. If your suspension's working well, your engine will have trouble. Fix the engine only to acquire a massive air leak. Fix everything and then get sideswiped.
