I should have written this blog first to introduce myself and let you know what kind of guy I am. Instead, I talked about painting my shop door with undercoating. I decided to get the meet and greet out of the way before I ramble about some of the other stupid stuff I do.
Unlike most normal well adjusted people in this world I happen to be in a constant state of ticked off. This leads me to believe I am not a people person. I’m not really interested in other people’s problems; I have enough of my own to deal with. Now before you start thinking this guy is an A-hole let me make one thing clear. I am a grumpy guy but it should not affect your life in any way. How would it I’m a technical writer and not a very good one at that. I’m sure we could drop the keyboard on the ground, do a tap dance on top of it and get the same results. The reason I am telling you this is so you won’t take offence if we happen to cross paths and I ignore you. Also I’m hoping to ward off all those happy go lucky people who feel the need to cheer people like me up. Those types rank pretty high on my “Why don’t you go play on a busy freeway” meter. They are right up there with the people who always need help. I’m not so naïve to think we all need help, but some people who push it way too far. See I think you should ask for help when you have tried your hardest and still can’t accomplish the goal. Not when you are just to friggin’ lazy to do it yourself. Here is a small example. Let’s say you are moving and have large furniture then you probably need help. Now if you have crap that can be carried by one person that person should be you. Also if you don’t have a truck then rent one, I’m not helping you move with my custom truck. I know by writing this I might come across as a grouch but I really don’t care. Life is too short to put on a fake smile and be nice. I’d rather put my head down, do my job and not be a needy pain in the @ss.
