Well the stereotype that Texans have guns is relatively true. Most of my friends in Texas have guns and even have a license to carry. I’ll have to be honest in saying that I feel a whole lot safer while around them. I know they have my back, so all I needed to do was get trained on doing the same if it came down to it.
Never firing a gun before, I was kind of nervous about doing it for the first time. Once we got to the range, I took a little written test to ensure that I wasn’t going to fool around in there. About five minutes later, I had my own pass to fire it up. Then when my buddy Cory loaded his firearm, he quickly trained me, and let me go at it. When I pulled that trigger, I could feel the absolute power of the bullet exploding through the chamber. I had never felt such a rush. Now I just need to get one of my own.
Here is Rascoe as he fires some rounds. If you look close enough you can see the fire coming out of the end.
Below is Cory loading the bullets in his .500 caliber Kimber revolver. The gun was designed to take down bears, and it’s definitely loud. I got to fire it and could tell you that it has some serious kickback.
