Whether it's a small little tip on freeing a ball joint to having a professional painter show me how to spray. I use this knowledge to hopefully write a good tech story for the magazine. Luckily my brain holds onto that sort of stuff instead of just dumping it out. Sort of like what it did with the information I was supposed to learn in history class I had in high school. I can’t tell you who the second president of the United States was but I can tell you in detail how to rebuild a Holly Carb.
All I know is the longer I'm here at the magazine the more I learn and the closer I get to my goal in life--being totally self-sufficient. Then I can move into a cave somewhere away from the masses and build trucks. All I would need is electricity, a computer and a monster set of tools. The only person I would need to talk to is the delivery person as they drop off my supplies, food, and or parts. That would be awesome, for me at least.
