At first I started to wonder why I have had so much time on my hands lately. Then come to think about it, I used to spend a lot of time in the garage working on my truck or my wife's car. In the fall my wife got a new truck, which eliminated the need for constant repair work. Now that my truck is gone for the time being, I rarely go in the garage for anything. On top of that, it's still the slow season for shows, and I have not had many weekend trips for work.
So, I wondered what to do in my spare time. I don't like sitting and rotting away while watching the television. Since I'm in the print media business, I have learned about production procedures and have discovered the many flaws in the filmography. That makes it very boring to watch shows and sitcoms. I then wondered my bored self in my house and found this balsa wood model of a WWII B17G bomber in my closet. It is a model kit that my father and I started around 15years ago. It's very complicated process, but I have the patients to build it. The cool thing about this project is that it's like building a real plane with a wingspan of almost 4-feet. Just take a look at the photo below of the plans and you can see for yourself. The model can be converted to be radio controlled for flight, and I am undecided on taking that risk with my prized plane. If I do the conversion I will try to not crash it by practicing R/C flight with a cheaper plane. Either way this thing will be rad when completed.
