I'm not really driving the C-10 all that much because it's starting to rust badly. The Krylon bomb job we did on the chassis and suspension isn't holding up so I dropped the truck off for some sheetmetal work.
It's been a month since the Forbidden Fantasy Show and my truck is just about roadworthy. The transmission is shifting firmly now thanks to the guys at TCI and Westech Performance Group, who figured out the programming glitch. The taillights still don't work right but I've narrowed the problem down to a broken turn signal switch in my steering column. And the power steering failure turned out to be the pulley spinning freely on the pump shaft. These are easy fixes to make and I'll get to them later. Right now the C-10 needs some body work. Sitting in my driveway getting rained on, the cool chassis and suspension has begun to rust without the protection of a bed floor and hood. So I took the truck to my friends at Scott's Hot Rods in Oxnard, California for a little sheetmetal surgery. We've got some cool tricks up our sleeves so stay tuned.
