PE. Physical Education. MANDATORY physical exercise.
You remember those days, don't you? You had about 8 minutes to change into really cool PE clothes, with your name written in black sharpie in the spots provided on the shirt and shorts. After goofin' around with your buddies for a few minutes, you'd meet the rest of your classmates on the field, and do some stretching and a warm-up lap or two. Then you'd play around for a little while, change back into normal clothes, and carry on with your day. High school sports worked about the same way.
The fact is, you got exercise on a daily basis, because it was planned in for you. Like it or not, you had a place to be, at a certain time. You ran and played and got sunshine, and didn't have to think about if you wanted to or not.
Looking back, this wasn't such a bad deal after all. In fact, I would LIKE that now. I think the corporate world should allot time for PE. Perhaps the schedule would look something like this: work, meeting, work, lunch, PE, work, nap time (hahaha that's a different story!), work. How great would it be to see "business men" and "business women" decked out in their company's PE uniforms, running around the office building? Can't you hear it? "But I have a presentation in an hour!" "I don't have time!" Well, if you wanted to keep your job, you signed up for PE, too. You'd be healthier, and it would be the perfect time to take out that aggression on an uncooperative co-worker. I think it's a brilliant idea.
