With that being said, be careful in making internet purchases, particularly when it comes to vehicles! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, and if it seems shady at all, it probably is. Heck, even if it DOESN'T seem shady, there's always a chance it is! Why? Because on the internet, you can be nameless, faceless, and fearless. You can scam people out of money and then disappear like a coward. You can say one thing and never follow through. When it comes down to it, there are few controls on the internet protecting you, the buyer. You can easily throw your money away to some email address that disappears the instant you make your transaction. You just never know! The best thing you can do for yourself is to NOT get into that situation in the first place. Don't take anyone's good-faith promise via the internet, and don't believe what you read. You might be thinking, "Monica, don't be so pessimistic. Lighten up, you can find great deals on the internet." Yes, that's true, BUT you can also get screwed over very easily on the internet; some people make a living knowing what to say and how to say it, in order to rip you off. The best thing you can do is to be one step ahead!
