Short or Long

I think my ?62 GMC will stay a longbed

When I got my GMC it came equipped with the original longbed.

I like the look of the shortbed version, but don’t want to heavily modify this gem of a truck. When I saw this truck on the street, it convinced me that I don’t need to cut it in order to make it clean. For now my plan is to lower it and keep it as original as I can.

2. Your truck is beautiful truck as is. My'63 was originally a long bed step side with the big back glass. I decided to cut the frame and bed down to make it a short bed.It was a lot of work and cutting a fleetside bed and welding it back together looks like it would be even harder. It turned out great though and I drove it like that for about 1 1/2 years before finding a near mint condition fleet side bed on eBay so I installed it and sold my shortened step side bed for the exact amount I paid for the fleet side bed on eBay as well. Long bed fleet sides much better than long step side beds though and had mine not been a long, step side I may not have ever shortened it but I'm glad I did it. You have a sharp truck as is though. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to cut on it.

3. man thats a clean beautiful truck nice to see something like that where someone isnt cutting on it due to the lack of how many are available these days id hate to see such a beautiful truck cut down you have a rare ride as it is like the color too i dont see that too often nothin like old school rides and originallity and the uniqueness in the color
