At the end of truck shows, I always like to look back and recall my favorite trucks and investigate why they caught my attention.
I am disappointed when I can't come up with a favorite or stand-out. Sometimes I am drawn to nice, complete trucks. Other times, under construction rides, and sometimes I remember a truck just because I met the owner or saw it driving to the show. Some I like and I don't even know why. Whatever the reason, I always want something to stand out at the show.
While several trucks stood out to me at Havoc East, it became apparent to me by Sunday morning which was my favorite. Thinking I had captured a favorite that had escaped the magazines, I was happily surprised to find that Sport Truck had captured this truck on page 67 of the October 2008 issue.
I am talking about Mike Kendall's 1996 Ford Ranger. I love the style of this truck! Luckily for me, I was able to watch them unload it Sunday morning and drive it around. How could you NOT love this truck?! It is unique, low, and has door swingin' every which way, and is on hydros (correct me if I'm wrong). Until now, I had kept my crush a secret, but the truth is, I love this truck, and have declared it My Favorite Truck of Havoc East.
