Goodbye to the Beater

This week is a somber one for me as I finally had to say good bye to the beater. The timing chain skipped and the motor would no longer fire and it developed a huge transmission leak. So instead of having it crushed I passed it along to a mechanic friend who is going to fix it for his niece. I have to say the car did exactly what I needed it to, get me back and forth to work. What I didn’t expect was how smooth the thing rode and how peppy the motor was until it broke. If I  can find another one of these for a few hundred bucks I might have to get another one. It’s nice to not have to worry about you ride getting ding, dented, or ripped off.
