J. Bittle American (JBA) has expanded the services in its 15,000 square foot Performance Center in San Diego, Ca. to become one of the country’s largest and most complete automotive performance centers.
With the recent sale of its header and performance exhaust line to Pertronix in November of 2008, JBA concentrated its passion for the automotive aftermarket into its Performance Center, offering professional engine building and tuning, OEM and aftermarket speed equipment, restoration services and more.

With an emphasis on building, tuning and installing domestic V8s, JBA Performance Center has applications that range from mild street and OEM restorations, to full race engines for Ford, Chevy, Dodge, AMC, Pontiac, Plymouth and more. The facility is also equipped with a DTS Power Mark III Dynamometer cell that is capable of measuring up to 2000 flywheel horsepower, along with nine service bays, a parts showroom and a full engine shop.
In addition, the JBA Performance Center offers complete restoration parts and services for classic muscle cars and trucks that include bodywork, powertrain, interior and more. The center also specializes in late-model engine upgrades as well as EFI conversions, supercharging and custom exhaust fabrication.
